Hello.

My name is Anne and I am part of the Ekisa team going to Kiwoko Hospital, Uganda in August.

I have been to Uganda twice before, once as part of a Diocesan team to paint and garden and once as part of an Ekisa team to run holiday clubs for children at Kiwoko Hospital. I really enjoyed my previous emperiences, so when I read about this year’s team, I applied immediately and was delighted to obtain a place.

Over the past few months, the team has met together regularly to plan the activities we are going to do with the children. As well as us thinking of activities, our plans have been submitted for approval by the Ugandan team who will be working with us to ensure that our ideas are suitable.

The meetings and the residential have also been important for us to get to know one another, discuss our anxieties, how our fund raising is going etc and pose many questions about life in Uganda. All this is important so we have bonded as a team before we go to Uganda.

Please pray for our team as the date of departure approaches fast and for the team of young Ugandans who will be such an invaluable help to us.

Anne
