Big needs

We have been really enthused by the work going on at Kiwoko – both at the hospital itself and in the community. There are some very committed Ugandan staff who have sacrificed a lot to live and work at Kiwoko. They are a real inspiration to us. The hospital should run on about 8 doctors – currently we have 3! This is causing huge strains on these personnel in particular Dr Peter Sserwaada who acts as Medical Superintendent as well as surgeon and the main general physician at the hospital. He needs a break but is reluctant until there is someone to cover his theatre duties. Please pray that he will feel that he can get away at some stage in the near future. In order to attract doctors we are building new housing accommodation – please pray for funding for this housing as well as for new nurses housing which is also needed. Thanks again

Thanks for having me to stay. One page filled of your visitors book within a month is not bad! All true what you say about needing doctors. Keep up the good work.

The Lenten prpject was launched in Knockbreda this morning to support building accommodation for your doctors. It was great to hear from you both on the video at the service. Our prayers are with you as always Richard
