Ken’s Dad – Charlie – passed away on the 9th June. Although he had been on chemotherapy treatment for a period of time he never recovered from his last dose of chemo and in the end died very suddenly which meant that we did not get home in time again to see him. We are very thankful however that we did come home about a month earlier and we were able to spend some time then. As my sister said he died the way he lived not wanting to cause anyone any problems. We thank God for him – I’ll not say too much except that I have never known anyone to give of himself the way he did. Nothing was too much trouble for him and since his death we have heard more stories of acts of kindness and generosity. A wonderful husband, father and Grandfather. Thanks too to all who gave in lieu of flowers – so far about £3000 has come in which has been donated to Kiwoko Hospital – a fitting testimony.
