At our recent student graduation we had 136 graduates – 89 from our Nursing school and 47 from our laboratory school. It was a day which all enjoyed thoroughly. Many have come through difficulties and challenges to reach such a point in their lives.

One such case is William. The family were justifiably very proud of William. He comes from a village about 5 km away from Kiwoko and he has been supported by Kiwoko Hospital through his secondary schooling and through his nursing qualification. His mother is HIV positive and is registered at the hospital. She is also involved in making baskets and bags in our craft project.

She was beaming with joy at William’s graduation and it was a joy to see her pride on such a day.
