9th and 10th April are being set aside as special days of prayer for Nepal. This is an annual event, but this year it is well timed with the national elections. So please pray for a good and peaceful outcome to the elections.

Pray for the political leaders, that they will give wise leadership for the good of the country and not neccessarily just for the party or their own clan. Pray for the people who want to cast their vote, but may be confused about how to. Many cannot read, so they place their vote against a symbol like a tree or plough or a sun. Pray that they will feel free to vote without intimidation or threat.
Pray for those monitoring the election, that they will be able to do their job in ensuring free and fair voting.

Give thanks that this is happening at all, it is the third attempt in the last 2 years, so pray for hope and for the church as it seeks to proclaim the gospel of peace in the midst of this major social change for the nation.
