Hello !! Blogging LIVE from KAMPALA !! we are currently staying in Shalom Guest House overnight – lovely and quite comfortable. We had a longgggggg journey yesterday in Heathrow and onto Entebbe, Uganda where we landed safe n sound this morning. After a taxi journey to Kampala and check in we headed to MAF HQ to finalise details of our onward journey tomorrow. Then onto South Sudan Embassy to get our visas for entering the country.

We were able to relax for a few hours at a local pool to catch up on much needed sleep after our long journey. Much merriment was had squeezing 5 of us into a car taxi – no time for health and safety or highway code ! Also amusing and interesting was taking in the surroundings and “traffic control” on the roads of Kampala – every man for himself it would seem – cars, bicycles and motorbikes, no traffic lights or roundabouts!! Diane found it all very interesting.

We listened all day to great advice from dab hands David and Billy about life around us and preparing for what’s ahead of us – eeeek !!!!

We are up at 5am tomorrow to fly to South Sudan with MAF all on time DV. Then we hope to be in Ibba before lunchtime to get settled, have a bit of a cry for Mum (that’s just me) and then get on with God’s work !!

We are all excited at this point as a team and God has really blessed us so far on our journey – please continue to pray for us in all that we will be doing.

Over and out
