The Busy Build-up

It seems such a long time ago since CMSI began the process of interviewing prospective team members for what was to become known as ‘Team Uhusiano’. We have had many months of preparation/training and, of course, everybody’s favourite – fundraising! So we’ve attended all the meetings and raised all the funds, the airline tickets are in the possession of DR (David Reynolds), and it looks like this is really happening!

Some people are organised, some super organised. Me – ‘procrastination’ is my middle name! It doesn’t help being married to our ‘Packing Team Coordinator’ – enough said! So the next 2 weeks for us are going to be manic. Those of us who are working will spend the next week and a bit making sure everything in work is up to date and ensuring contingency plans are in place. Then there’s the packing….then there’s the re-pack! We also have to fit in a family ‘do’, Summer Madness, a commissioning service, no1 son coming home from London for no2 son’s graduation, family meal, home to change into our travelling clothes then off to Dublin Airport! And breathe!

In this ‘busy ness’ it’s hard to find time to really seek God’s will for me as an individual and for the team. We would very much value your prayers for the whole team and for our sub-team ‘Pole Pole’. Please pray for safety, smooth travel and for an effective ministry whilst in Kenya. Pray for the schedule which is a bit fluid at present – a very wet rainy season has resulted in the building work being behind schedule. Pray for Ronnie, Maggie and Kelly who will lead us.

Team members – Elizabeth, Tom, Roberta, Elaine, George and me, Carolyn.
