Just a few 'To do lists'

The 12th of August is quickly approaching and the ‘To do lists’ are slowing being ticked off.

For the last five years I have lived in Liverpool, England, first as a student and then as a full time teacher. Liverpool quickly became home, however coming back to Northern Ireland is always a treat, and these past few weeks have been jam packed with loved ones, preparing and packing suitcases.

I am incrediably excited about my new destination and all that God has in store for me there. Ever since I first visited Kiwoko Hospital I knew there was something special going on there. Something that my heart was completely drawn to, and a year after my visit I was still set on returning.

One of my favourite things about my time spent in Uganda was the people and the sense of community that never failed to surround us, and although leaving home and my family is going to be difficult I look forward to the extended family I will gain during my time there. I am hugely excited about my role in the Wilson household in homeschooling their son Gideon, using the gift of teaching that God has blessed me with and joining in on a whole host of different areas within the hospital.

I know I leave Northern Ireland covered in prayer and love and this fills me with joy and excitment for the experiences that are ahead of me. Expereinces that I know will be challenging, inspring, heart breaking, joy filled and life changing.

As I spend the next few days saying goodbye for now to loved ones I am very much looking forward to this new chapter in my life.

I hope to update you all as soon as I’m settled in my new home.
