blisters!

By the time I get ‘comfortable’ with my running pace, get ‘familiar’ with my surroundings and begin ‘enjoying’ my sense of achievement as I clock up my 3rd, 4th and attempting my 5th mile – there is one thing that keeps happening to me – blisters!!

It’s Rachel here – i am taking part in the girls relay team (obviously!) for CMS Ireland and am hoping to complete my leg of 5.3 miles in a personal best of under an hour!

Running is something i have only been involved with for a short while and its something that i dont think i have much of natural flair for – but i feel that running for CMS Ireland is a good enough cause to propel myself along my relay leg!

Anyone who has any advice or tips on marathon prep, nutrition or how best to avoid or treat blisters – would be gladly welcomed!

We are hoping to raise £5000 from our 2 relay teams to help support our work in Ireland and with our Global partners so please help us reach our target by visitng our ‘donate’ page of our website and selecting AAA – Fundraising.

Or come and visit our offices and give us a cheque or cash and watch us limp around the offices!!
