Well everyone, the countdown is officially on! Suitcases are being packed, check lists are being ticked off, anti-malaria tablets are being taken and everyone is thinking the same thing; are we there yet?

Our team consists of 6 people in total. There’s Jim, Karen, Anne, Sam, William and myself (Lucy) all travelling to Kibungo in Rwanda this Saturday for 15 days. The last year has passed so quickly since we all met in Belfast for the first time. Relationships have been formed and friendships have been made and with such different personalities among the group I am positive our African adventure is going to be one we will never forget.

For all the families and friends reading this I want to thank you all on behalf of all of us. Thank you for your continued support throughout the year and now as our trip is upon us we ask you all to keep that support going through the power of prayer! We ask for prayer for safe journey to Rwanda whilst we are there and when we are coming home, prayer for our time spent there that God will use us for His will and that we may be blessed and touched by the people we meet along the way, prayer for the team that relationships will be strengthened and finally prayer for our families at home that they may have a sense of peace and comfort whilst we are so far away.

So for now everyone it’s goodbye! But keep tuned in for our live updates all the way from hopefully a sunny Africa!
God Bless

Lucy

Hi Lucy We have all been praying, in St Matthew's, for you, William and the team. I was talking to your Dad and he mentioned that William wasn't so well. Tell him we are praying for him especially. We are really looking forward to seeing your pictures giving meaning to our connection with Kibungo Diocese and the people of Rwanda. God Bless. David
