Well, my devoted blogees… i think its week six here in sunny kiwoko! actually its not that sunny – we're in the middle of the wet season and there have been some amazing rain storms. Makes the constant drizzle of the province seem a little lacklustre.

Life is progressing well – thanks for all the messages of support. I do appreciate it! It's funny how quickly you get used to being somewhere. In a way, it seems like I've been here for ages – in another way, no time at all. Work has been going really well – starting to get into the swing of things a bit and gain a clearer understanding of whats going on. The team here have been very supportive and gracious as they try and help me discover what we actually do. Langauge continues to be interesting – we get an hour a week lesson, which isnt really enough so we're looking at other options. In the meantime, the admin girl in my office (Saudah_ has threatened to only converse with me in Luganda for an hour a day. I'll learn quicker that way, but maybe not actually do any work. I'm sure Ken won't mind. The personnel secretary has set himself (and myself) the challenge of teaching me a new phrase every time he sees me. Going well so far, though i may have to start avoiding him if he continues!

Been trying to get my head around an Access database, that has some problems and was designed by someone else, so that hasnt been without frustration! Oh and the computer we use functions in German.. and breaks down.. a lot! So if you have a spare lap top… we're looking for one! Let me know!

Have done my first preaches over the last few weeks – generally they were enjoyable. One to church and the other to staff prayers. I managed to tell a story so that satisfied the primary school teacher in me. I've been in touch with my old school recently – they have been raising money and have got a superb amount. And all from non uniform days and the like! Inspiring stuff. On the money front… looking at doing a sponsored 10 miler in the near future. Ken and I are up to 6 km at 7 am a few times a week – not 10 miles i know, but we're getting there. He's changed me. More details about the Kiwoko Chase to follow…

I'll update you all soon…
