Rory goes to prison

And so I spent this afternoon in prison with our mission team preaching to the inmates. They were mostly young lads, in for various crimes some simply falling out with someone with influence or money. They listened to my rendition of the prodigal son, with Shadrachs interpretation and appropriate embellishment, and then about of them said they wanted to become Christians not what I was really expecting so God is real and meets people who need Him then!

These guys dont really have much going for them, if they werent in bad company before they came in here, they certainly will be by their departure, so its good to offer them a basis for life change and they obviously saw that for themselves. I was most impressed by Shadrach. After I finished speaking he asked if anyone wanted to respond and when everyone put up their hands, he told them to put their hands down, tried to talk them out of it and then asked who still wanted to respond. On the way back we stopped at a house of a young lad with advanced HIV and an unpleasant skin infection so it was good to give him some simple treatment which should hopefully make a big difference.

We are putting an advert in the paper next week for some key roles Doctors, Clinical officers and a Pharmacy Assistant please pray for someone(s) to see these and respond.

Made it out on my bike yesterday for a 40 mile trip, about 5 of them on tarmac. Fantastic fun, though am a bit numb today. Of course my shower packed in when I got home but that adds to the whole adventure I guess!

Hope you’re all well.

Thanks for reading. Rory

Reading the title I thought you'd finally been caught up with for breaking the mop in the biology lab at BGS about twenty odd years ago. Good to catch up on what you are doing. God Bless! Mark
