Muraho!
My name is Janette. I’m from Londonderry and attend St Augustines – the wee church on the city walls. Having just counted and it’s only 61 days until we will be leaving for Rwanda! I am also super excited and can’t wait to see what God has planned for us there.
Back in March we had a team residential in Portaferry (It’s hard to believe that it was over 2 months ago!) This was a great time to get to know each other, prepare for Rwanda and just have fellowship together. During the weekend we had a session where we came together to try and find a name for the team. Lots of good ideas were suggested and we came up with A.ME.Ω
I really love the name of our team and there are so many ways it can be interpreted. The alpha and omega reminds us that God is the beginning and the end; he goes before us and is with us throughout this whole journey. The ME in the middle to me reminds us we are surrounded by Gods love. I feel really pleased to have the opportunity to go to Rwanda, to experience the culture and serve the people there.
Please pray for the leaders – Jules, Diane, Sam and Julie and keep everyone on the team in your prayers as we continue fundraising, getting injections and making other preparations for Rwanda.
Murakoze!
