Muraho!
So this Sunday was the commissioning of the Rwanda Youth Team “A.ME.Ω.” It took place in St Pauls and St Barnabus York Street Belfast at 6.30pm!
The trip is fast approaching and in just over 3 weeks we will be making the journey to Rwanda! – The team are leaving on Sunday 18th July and returning on Monday 9th August! During our time in Rwanda we will be taking part in a Youth Camp, helping to build a house for a returning refugee and visiting some of the projects that are taking place in Rwanda.
It is an exciting time for all of us on the team. Over the last few months we have been on a journey together. The team come from both north and south and represent parishes from Belfast, Bangor, Monaghan and Londonderry. I think it has been amazing how we have come from different areas and really bonded as a team.
As our departure gets closer there is still lots to keep us busy – fundraising events are still taking place, last minute injections and deciding what has to be packed and still stay within the weight limits!!
Please continue to pray for the all the team and also for our families that they will have peace of mind as we embark on the journey.
Murakoze!
