Every year CMS Ireland’s Annual Project gives children and young people from Ireland the chance to find out a bit more about what God is doing through His church worldwide.
In recent years the project material has explored work with disabled communities in Nepal, the urban poor in Egypt and young people in rural Kenya.
In the past three years the Annual Project has also raised more than £100,000 (€120,000) to help local churches, in Africa and Asia, respond practically to the needs of their people.
CMS Ireland’s 2009 Annual Project, ‘Start Small, Grow Tall’, is based in Kibungo Diocese, Rwanda. Through a series of short DVD programmes, lesson plans, games and activities it helps young people in Ireland understand a little of what it means to live in this rural community.
And, as we look to support the work of the church in Kibungo, the material gives some ideas of how we can raise money to facilitate the provision of training, jobs and an income generating project – in the form of a maize growing co-operative.
Join us for a series of fantastic opportunities to find out more about the project and for exclusive hints and tips on how to use the material.
