Sharing Stories: Exploring Opportunities
17-18th May, Rostrevor Youth Centre, £30/€40
Whether you have been on a META team, been involved in a misson placement, served as a Mission Partner or are looking for new ways to engage with global mission – the ‘Going Global’ weekend is for you!
The Going Global weekend is a place for you to reflect on your experiences of global mission and to think about some of the ways in which to take things further.
During the weekend, there will be opportunities to meet others with an interest in global mission, to hear about CMS Ireland’s mission placements and consider how God is calling each of us to get going with mission, whether at home or somewhere else.
The weekend will be very relaxed, with plenty of time for catching up with old friends and meeting new people who are involved in mission. The two days will involve:
Looking back: There will be opportunities to share stories from previous experiences and reflect on the journey you have been on up ‘til now.
Looking up: We will consider together the ways in which God calls each of us to get involved in His mission.
Looking forward: We will explore some of the ways in which we can respond actively to God’s invitation to ‘go into all the world’, as we address the question, ‘what next’? Some may wish to investigate the opportunities available for longer-term service, while others may want to consider how their experiences of working with CMS Ireland’s partners might impact on their lives here in Ireland.
