Spaces still available on Nepal team

Tired of those package deals to the Costa Wherever? Thinking about doing something different with your time off? Looking for a way to encourage and support Christians in another part of the world? Keen to experience something of life, work and worship in an entirely different culture? Ready for a deeper encounter with God’s global mission?

Maybe we can help.

Every year, CMS Ireland organises teams from Ireland to visit one of our partner locations in another part of the world. These METAs (Mission Experience Teams Abroad) are one of the many ways in which we hope to help people engage more deeply with mission. In 2008, over 100 individuals will be taking part in one of seven such METAs.

The final META of the year is due to visit Nepal at the end of November. This will be a small team and is open to all ages. The team will spend time working with our partners in Kathmandu, experiencing something of the Nepali culture and sampling life on the ‘rooftop of the world’. It promises to be an incredible experience for those involved and will be a significant blessing to our partners in Nepal.

There are still a few spaces left on the Nepal META and individuals from any church are welcome to apply. An information sheet and an application form are available to download, or you can contact one of our offices for more information.

The deadline for applications has been extended to 1st April 2008, so even if you aren’t totally sure that this opportunity is ‘for you’, but would like to find out more, get in touch .

Please note that due to preparation and training requirements applications for this team are only open to those currently based in Ireland (North or South).
