Just a quick update about the Scott family…

As you know I took over responsibility for Zambia and our Mission Partners, the Scott’s, during the Summer. I made my first visit to Zambia in October, staying with Keith, Lyn and family in Kitwe. During my stay I had long discussions with Bishop Chama of the Diocese of Northern Zambia and John Osmers of St John the Evangelist Seminary about the future of CMS Ireland’s engagement.

Keith, Lyn, Adam and Hannah arrived home safely this week – this now brings to an end over 6 years of CMS Ireland mission service in Zambia. They will be living in Bangor for the next few months. It will take time to settle back to life back home. They had an emotional farewell at the Seminary last Friday and Keith completed his parish duties at the end of November.

Please pray for them as they get their bearings again, organise schooling for Hannah, look to their future life and acclimatise to the weather back home. They told me last night “…it will take time to get used to the pace of life, the commercialism – especially at Christmas – and the crowds of people.” As CMS Ireland plans to continue its support for the Diocese of Northern Zambia and St John the Evangelist Seminary, Kitwe, I would also invite you to continue supporting St John’s Seminary or the Diocese.

Hopefully you will have received the Scott’s last Link Letter with a much more detailed update, if not please please contact me.

May you be inspired by the joy and wonder of Advent…
