Dear friends,

Christmas greetings from CMS Ireland!

As 2008 draws to a close – and we prepare to celebrate the birth of our Lord – we want to thank all of you who have joined with us this year in the mission that Jesus has called us to.

The past twelve months have been exciting and humbling ones for CMS Ireland: we’ve seen new links develop in Nepal, Romania and Ethiopia; our numbers of long-term Mission Partners have doubled; more than 100 people have have taken part in cross-cultural exchanges to work alongside our partners in Africa and Asia; and we’ve provided more practical and financial assistance to our Global Partners than at any time in our history.

In short, this has been a year in which we have experienced great blessing and that is, in no small part, due to the members, supporters and churches who have engaged in mission with us and through us. If that’s you, thank you!

It’s our prayer that 2009 will see that work develop and grow in equally exciting ways – and that God will continue be at work through each and every part of the CMS Ireland family.

This Christmas may we wish you every blessing and encourage you to keep us – and our partners around the world – in your prayers.

Yours in Christ,

Ian R Smith
Director of Mission
