“A life changing time when we became brothers and sisters of Kajiado. A real time of blessing when God fully anointed us and answered our prayers time and time again!”

“…a great opportunity to spend quality time with God and strengthen your relationship with Him”

“Challenge yourself and let God work in your heart!”

These are just a few comments from some of the 80 plus people who took part in CMS Ireland METAs in 2009, which visited Nepal, Kenya, Uganda and Burundi.

META stands for Mission Experience Teams Abroad. And they do exactly what they say on the tin. METAs provide opportunities for Christians in Ireland to visit one of our partner locations in another part of the world, to experience the culture, to share fellowship, to work with CMS Ireland Global Partners and to explore what ‘mission’ really means.

METAs are more than an opportunity to visit another part of the world. They are a important way of expressing CMS Ireland’s, and the Church in Ireland’s, links with our Global Partners and the Global Church. Team visits are a great encouragement to our Global Partners, and to our Mission Partners. And there is still more to a META…it is our hope that each person who takes part in one of these teams will be inspired, challenged and enthused to engage more deeply in global mission, and in their personal relationship with the God of mission.
