I first met Charles Agele at Yei Vocational Training College in 2006. Charles’ wide smile is his trademark and, as long as I’ve known him, he has exuded happiness and optimism, but Charles has a harrowing story of hardship to tell behind his smile. Recently, while visiting Sudan I met Charles again. Charles told me about his incredible journey, a story of perseverance against all the odds.

CMS Ireland was delighted to welcome Bishop Wilson Kamani of Ibba Diocese in Southern Sudan for a brief but blessed visit at the beginning of February. The focus of the Bishop’s visit was being the keynote speaker at the day conference “Sudan: A New Dawning”, where supporters of Sudan gathered to hear from the Bishop. Click here to read more.
