Calling all members...CMS Ireland Annual General Meeting

At its heart, CMS Ireland is a member organisation, not merely because of the workings of company law, but because as Christians, we are part of the body of Christ, and every one of us has a part to play – and how the society exists and operates should be a reflection of this unity.

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) is a special event in the CMS Ireland calendar with the Board of Trustees, Staff and Members gather together to celebrate all the God has done in and through the Society in the past year, and look forward to seeking God’s will in the year ahead.

The AGM will take place on Saturday 24th April 2010 in the Emmaus Centre, Swords, Dublin at 3.30pm (with tea and coffee available from 3.00pm). Existing members will receive their invitations and information packs in the post.

Who are our members?CMS Ireland members are at the core of the Society. They commit to stand with CMS Ireland as we seek the furtherance of God’s Kingdom together, seeking to express this through prayer, through giving and through involvement in the work and events of the Society. Becoming a member also entitles people to participate in the nomination and appointment of the Board of Trustees – giving them a say in the future of the Society. Our members are people who identify with our values, our vision and our priorities – living this out through prayer, involvement and giving, and in local churches, working to bring about transformation in local communities and who shape the mission and ministry of the Society.

Please remember the AGM in your prayers: the preparations beforehand, those travelling to the Emmaus Centre, and the proceedings of the meetings, including the election of Board members.

This year, the AGM will be followed by an exciting event – IMPACT – a celebration event open to all those who support CMS Ireland, not just members. It will begin at 7.00pm, with tea/coffee available from 6.30pm. The evening will highlight and focus on stories of how God is transforming lives through mission, with singing, sharing and a chance to find out about some exciting new developments in CMS Ireland.

Please contact our offices for more details, and to reserve your place at Impact.
