Many of you who have visited Kajiado Diocese over the years will be familiar with Tom Matianya. Tom has worked for the diocese for the last 30 years, formerly as the manager of MRTC Isinya and for the last 5 years within the Development Department. As well as developing a close friendship with Ronnie and Maggie Briggs, he has met many people from Ireland who have travelled to spend time in Kenya.

Over the past few months, Tom has struggled with poor health and recently visited a cardiologist to get to the bottom of his ill health. Sadly, the doctor has told Tom that he needs to urgently have a significant heart operation at a large private hospital in Nairobi.

Please remember Tom and his wife Betty, over the coming weeks as they prepare for this operation. Pray for health and healing, and that Tom and his family would discover something of God’s presence and peace at this difficult time. Also remember the church and communities in Kajiado, who will be feeling this very keenly and will want to do everything they can to support Tom and his family.
