He is Risen!

Easter seems to have lost some of its impact.

As Easter gains more of a foothold in the commercial world, so it loses some of its significance in our Church calendar. In the Church among many of our Global Partners, Easter is the main event of the year. Christmas is important but Easter is more significant. Lent gives us the opportunity to build up to the events of the Easter weekend – preparing our minds, bodies and souls to take on board the incredible depth of love shown by God towards us by allowing His son to take the path of crucifixion. Then displaying the breadth of His love for us by raising Jesus from the dead for the sins of the whole world.

Our challenge as Christians, is to show the length of His love by taking it to the ends of the earth. No one stands outside of the love of God.

In CMS Ireland we continue a solid tradition started by those who first established CMS in Ireland nearly 200 years ago. There is still much to do and as we work alongside our Global Partners across the world, churches here in Ireland and the people who work and minister with us, let us continue to be amazed by the momentous events that we celebrate as Easter.

May God bless all of us as we seek opportunities to serve Him as a response to what He has done for us.

From the CMS Ireland staff, may we wish you all a very Happy Easter. He is risen indeed!
