CMS Ireland’s Mid-Africa Partnership Conference is taking place between 14th-16th September in the familiar surroundings of the Glenada Conference Centre, Newcastle. The theme for this year’s conference is ‘Journeys’.

The Mid-Africa Conference is one of the highlights in the CMS Ireland calendar each year, with up to 100 people gathering to enjoy worship and fellowship together and to hear news and updates from our partners in Mid-Africa. The programme runs from Friday evening until Sunday lunchtime – with the opportunity to come for the whole weekend, or simply attend part of the conference.

This year, Rev Bobbie Moore will be our tour guide as she leads us on a biblical journey with Joseph. We also hope to be joined by Bishop Emmanuel, from Kibungo Diocese, Rwanda and by CMS Ireland Mission Partners, Rory and Denise Wilson (Uganda) and Alison Gill (Burundi). And we’ll hear from three STEP Volunteers – two of whom will have recently returned from Rwanda, one of whom who will be about to depart for Uganda.

As if this wasn’t enough, CMS Ireland staff members Ronnie Briggs and David Gough will also be contributing to the packed and varied programme.

Throw in plenty of craic, a chance to stroll along Newcastle promenade and opportunities to sing, pray and eat together…and it’s clear why the weekend is so popular. But there’s always room for more people to come along and be part of the event.

We are currently taking bookings for the conference. The costs are as follows:

Full Weekend (inc High Tea on Friday) – £95 (pps); £110 (single)
Full Weekend (exc High Tea on Friday) – £85 (pps); £100 (single)

Registration Fee (for all non-residents) – £5
Saturday Lunch – £8
Saturday High Tea – £11
Sunday Lunch – £12.50

Hi, I've tried to download a booking form without success. Please have a wee look at this as I have suggested to someone else to download. Many thanks. M

Thanks for alerting us to this, Mavis. It seems that the downloading problem only applied for those using Internet Explorer as their web-browser - so we hadn't picked it up (We use Firefox or Chrome). I think it should all be working fine now.
