In February, we shared the story of Abigail Oakman, a 10-year old from Bangor whose Sunday School takes part in CMS Ireland’s Annual Project every year. With this year’s project, All Things New, Abigail was so impacted by the films of life in South Sudan, that she decided to respond. 3 days and 60 miles later, Abigail had completed the cycle and began the process of raising funds. You can read her story here.

We’re delighted to announce that Abigail reached her target of £400 – in fact she managed to raise £437 to support Education projects in Ibba Diocese, South Sudan.

At a recent visit to Bangor Abbey, CMS Ireland’s Partnership Coordinator Kelly Yates met Abigail and passed on our congratulations and thanks to her. They’re picture here with the rector of Bangor Abbey, Rev Canon Ronnie Nesbitt.
