150 mile safari to Kasongo

In Swahili ‘safari’ means ‘journey’. Our three-day safari from Kindu to Kasongo, 240 km (150 miles) south from Kindu city, was long and arduous and prompted Andrew to observe, “They call this a road, it’s more like driving along a riverbed.”
