Hi all, Hope this finds you well!

The VTC (Vocational Training College) has received a welcome boost this week after securing a large building contract with another local primary school to build a water tower. All involved are very happy with the development and it is encouraging for the staff. The roof for the accommodation for the blind is finally being put on after some delays to funding; it is nice to see work on the build going ahead.

The youth ministry team are doing outreaches to a refugee camp in the area, called Rhino Camp. It is a challenging ministry and your prayers would help a lot as they offer support to the people there. The youth have many initiatives running through Scripture Union and have a conference coming up at the Cathedral school.
Settling into life here is challenging. It is so different to life back in Europe. Death, illness and understanding the local culture and language have been difficult to come to terms with and a constant adjustment. A member of the management staff at the VTC called Henry lost a relative this week and a staff member at Jericho has a few close relatives who are very sick.

The men from different mission agencies come together once a month for a prayer meeting, which helps with growing spiritually together and keep in touch in the midst of all the ministries happening in Arua.

Please continue to pray for me as I adjust to the complicated life, culture and language in Arua, Uganda.
