Everything and so much more

We have been off-air for a couple of days due to the fact that we have been on Safari across the Congo river.

We visited seven parish churches and stayed overnight in Kayuyu. The car ferry crossing itself was a truly momentous occasion and marked the start of an incredible journey into the heart of Kindu Diocese. The true Heart of the Diocese was revealed to us at so many levels as we progressed from parish to parish. At each parish we were treated to a most elaborate and enthusiastic welcome, many photos have been taken to capture these glorious God filled moments. Each parish had a story to tell, each church community gave of their Spirit in a most generous way.

We encountered many physical obstacles on our journey including stuck lorries, fallen trees, and tropical down pours. Again, many photos taken to record the occasion. We arrived back to the river crossing at twilight, just in time to catch the last pirogue (canoe) back to town. We return across the river this morning to be reunited with our jeeps which we abandoned on the far shore last night.

Brief assessment so far: This trip is proving to be everything and so much more that we could have ever prayed for. Thank you for your continued prayers, they are surely working.
