What a busy, busy two days the team have had here in Kibungo! Yesterday, we visited the parish of Rusera and got our hands dirty helping them make mud bricks which would then be used to build a church office. People from the whole community came to offer their help and within a matter of hours we had 300 bricks made (with William making two of them all on his own!) We then visited the markets. Let’s just say all our senses were awakened while there!

This morning we were all disturbed from our sleep around 4am to the sound of the youth choir practicing for the conference, which is being held here over the next few days. We then got a small taster of what was to come over the next few days by both the youth choir and Sunday school choir during a short service this morning. The whole team even put their acting skills to use and carried out a short sketch.

Following this, we played some games with the Sunday school which included ‘duck, duck, goose’ and then, we brought out the bubbles which were a huge hit! Lucy presented the Sunday school teacher with items that the Sunday school in Richhill had made for the children. The Sunday school leader informed us that the children would pray for each of the kids at St Matthews daily and looked forward to looking at the pictures each had drawn!

That’s the daily update for now everyone. Keep us all in your prayers.

Hope everything is going well Kibungo sorry we missed you both earlier today. The sun came out here for a few hours so we had to make the most of it. Enjoy your day off. Stephen and Carolann
