All packed up and nowhere to go? Well…not exactly. Yes, we were due to fly out from Dublin on Tuesday 29th March but problems with visas not being released in time meant that our trip had to be postponed, twice. However we are hopeful that all has been sorted out and that we will start our adventure on Sunday 17th April instead!

Our team is excited about our forthcoming trip to Bukavu in DR Congo – it’s going to be an amazing 10-day experience. We are looking forward to meeting Bishop Bahati and his colleagues as well as the Congolese people. We can’t wait to find out about the programme Bishop Bahati has put together for us. It will be great to share in the day-to-day activities of those living within the diocese and to share in their worship of Almighty God in a different cultural setting.

Thank you to all who have made this trip possible: for the CMSI staff, Bishop Bahati and his colleagues, for those who have supported the partnership link financially and prayerfully and for all who have provided gifts for the people out there. I’m sure the beads, men’s ties and knitted/crocheted teddies will be gratefully received.

Please thank God with us that we have received our visas and continue to pray that all will go according to plan as we wait with increasing anticipation for our adventure to start.

Best wishes

Ann Haffey, Rev Matthew Hagan & Linda Abwa (CMSI Partnership Coordinator)
