Jason and Lousie Mehl are CMS Ireland Mission Partners working at Uganda Christian University.

They are jointly sent by CMS Ireland and CMS – USA, with CMS Ireland taking the role of lead sending agency. The transatlantic nature of their sending is also reflected in their marriage, with Jason hailing from the USA and Louise from Ireland.

In UCU, Jason holds the position of Sports Director – this means he coordinates all the sporting and athletic activities and involves him working with coaches, managing staff and helping shape the vision of the university. Jason very much sees his time there as a chance to disciple students, to encourage and empower them to make a difference in their communities.

Louise is involved in the pastoral care of visiting exchange students from the USA, as well as helping out with hospitality for the many visitors that the University receives each year. She too is passionate about discipleship, and in helping visitors process their reactions to the cross-cultural experience of being in Uganda.

Jason and Louise have one daughter – Lily.
