Zambia – Diocese of Northern Zambia

Pray for the Diocesan Mission work in Western Province and Mukutuma Area. This is largely a new work and is focused in the areas of development, self-sustainability for the Diocese and evangelism. Meeting both the spiritual and physical needs of the people is a specific aim of the Diocese.

Zambia – Diocese of Northern Zambia

Pray for all those people involved in the various Diocesan health projects – that is Home based Care for those suffering with HIV/AIDS and those working as Malaria control agents in a number of communities.

Pray for the recent visit of the Youth META and the impact that such a visit will have on the lives of those involved. Pray too that the Church in the Diocese of N Zambia would also be blessed with this visit and that they too would continue to pray for us here in the Church in Ireland.

Pray for the country of DR Congo and especially for the democratic process. Pray for the new leaders that they will keep their promises and help the population to see democracy as a positive thing.

SW Uganda

Pat Gilmer has been in the UK for much of the year, going through knee ops; the Rukungiri Growers, Orphans and Disabled Children’s project past accounts, sorting out her retirement flat in Scotland, as well as a lot of family changes. Pat hopes to go to Uganda soon, to visit the Project. She thanks all those in Ireland who continue to support the Project.

China – DUFEM

Give thanks for the recent visit to China by three students from Trinity College Dublin. The three students worked with Shanghai YMCA and spent time visiting local churches and Chinese church leaders. Pray for this ongoing link between the Church in China and the Church in Ireland.

Pray for DUFEM, as it continues to partner with the Church in China through student exchanges and the support of theological training. Pray for the committee, under the leadership of Canon Patrick Comerford, as they seek to develop the work and the scope of the organisation.

Kenya – Diocese of Kajiado

Pray for the ongoing work of training of Clergy and Evangelists. This is one of the main challenges faced by the Diocese and as more and more people are trained for ministry so more and more people are reached with the Gospel.

Pray for Bishop Jeremiah and his family. He receives a constant stream of people both in the office and at home. With very little room for rest he needs all the prayer support we can give him for strength, energy and wisdom as he leads the Diocese.
