Ireland: The CMSI Board of Directors is meeting on the 6th September. Pray for the preparations for this meeting and for good understanding and discernment as this group steers the way forward for CMSI.
Ireland: The ‘Mid Africa Partnership’ group will be meeting for its annual residential conference in Newcastle, Co Down at the start of September. Pray for all concerned with its organization, for Ian Smith leading the Bible Studies. Pray that preparations in the month ahead would go well. May the whole conference bring glory to God.
Luwero Diocese, Uganda: Pray for the Ekisa Team who are preparing to travel to Kiwoko Hospital on the 10th August for 3 weeks. They will be taking part in children’s work programmes for the Hospital staff children and the Hayashi Programme (children enrolled at the hospital’s HIV clinic).
Uganda – Luwero Diocese: Pray for good weather for the 2 upcoming children’s programmes in Kiwoko Hospital – 13-15th August and 19-21st August – as many of the activities are outdoors. Pray for the safety of the children as they walk to the Youth Centre for the activities – and for openness in how they respond to the gospel message.
Nepal- Zimmerman family: Continue to pray for Mark and Deirdre in their various responsibilities and ministries in Kathmandu. Give thanks for the many opportunities they have to share God’s love through their friendships and their work.
Nepal- Zimmerman family: Give thanks for the good schooling available for Mark and Deirdre’s sons. Please pray for them both: Zachary (6) as he prepares to move into first grade, and Benjamin (4) as he continues to adjust and settle into pre-school.
Nepal – Zimmerman family: The work at the Nick Simon’s Institute continues to develop; give thanks for finding favour in the eyes of government ministries and institutions. Please pray for search for a larger site and for new members of staff that are still required.
Uganda – Diocese of Luwero: The first in a series of residential courses for local church leaders is taking place in July, held at Kiwoko Hospital, in conjunction with Kampala Evangelical School of Theology. Please pray for the students on this first course, for the further courses planed for the year ahead, and for a strengthening of unity as different denominations study together.
Uganda – Diocese of Luwero: Kiwoko Hospital’s ‘Good Samaritan Fund’ caters for patients unable to meet even the heavily subsidised bills they are expected to pay. Pray for wisdom for those administering this limited fund as they seek to ensure that those in genuine need are looked after, while trying to discern those who are able to pay for themselves.
Uganda – Diocese of Luwero: Pray for the safety of all the Staff at Kiwoko Hospital – those building to be protected from accidents, those working to be protected from disease and those driving to be protected on the roads.
