Sudan- John and Poppy Spens – Pray for our CMSI affiliates, John and Poppy Spens, working in Yei and Lainya dioceses, Southern Sudan. Pray for their safety and security, particularly as they have new responsibilities involving more travel within Sudan than had previously been the case. Pray too for the Yei Vocational Training Centre as they continue to seek a replacement for John.
Sudan – John and Poppy Spens – Pray for the successful implementation of CMS Ireland’s project proposals in Southern Sudan, in partnership with the Diocesan teams. Pray especially for good relationships with donors and contractors.
Sudan – John and Poppy Spens – Pray for the development of Primary Health Care services in the Dioceses of Lainya and Yei and for the new mobile outreach team to rural parts of Yei Diocese. Remember Poppy especially as she seeks to provide guidance during the development of these initiatives.
Uganda – Luwero Diocese – Community Health Empowerment (CHE) – Pray for the CHE programme – that trainers and local groups would remain committed to the task before them. Pray for new trainers starting in new areas, that they would begin to form good relationships with local communities.
Uganda – Luwero Diocese – Ken and Judith Finch – Pray for Ken & Judith as they witness to friends and colleagues about Jesus in the busyness of their daily work at the hospital. Pray that ‘H’ would be challenged about the reality of Christ.
Uganda – Luwero Diocese – Ken and Judith Finch – Give thanks for the very successful launch of ‘Christianity Explored’ in Uganda – which has been pioneered by the Kiwoko Hospital Mission Team. The launch week included the largest-ever single training of church leaders in use of the ‘Christianity Explored’ material. Pray for its continued use in Uganda.
Uganda – Luwero Diocese – Rory and Denise Wilson – Please pray that Rory and Denise would be rested and spiritually refreshed during their 5-month visit to Ireland. Pray that they would be guided to the best training and refresher courses (professionally and spiritually) and that these courses would equip them for further service at Kiwoko.
Uganda – Luwero Diocese – Rory and Denise Wilson – Pray for Rory and Denise as they visit link churches and share about the work of Kiwoko. Pray that people will be encouraged as they see the difference their support has made.
Rwanda – Shyogwe Diocese: Give thanks for CMS Ireland’s developing links in Shogwe Diocese. Pray for Bishop Jered as he seeks to lead the diocese in its outreach, discipleship and development initiatives.
Rwanda – Shyogwe Diocese: The Bible and Development School trains lay leaders and catechists, so that they can offer quality leadership and teaching to local Christians. Pray for the ongoing success of the centre, particularly in a climate of reduced financial resources.
