Sudan: Pray for peace and stability in Sudan. Pray that the Comprehensive Peace Agreement will be implemented fully in spite of some delays. Pray also for the forthcoming election in Sudan, that it will be democratic and peaceful. And pray for the referendum in the Sudan now due to take place in February 2010.
Sudan: Pray for good rains in Sudan this season so that the people may be able to work the land and help themselves.
Sudan, Rokon Diocese: Pray that the conflict in the disputed borders of Abeyei will be resolved and also for the ongoing problems in Darfur where hundreds of thousands of people are displaced.
Sudan, Rokon Diocese: Pray for the partnership between CMS Ireland and the Diocese of Rokon as well as the partnership with other Dioceses in the Episcopal Church of the Sudan.
Nepal, Human Development and Community Services: Pray for the HDCS staff in the head office in Kathmandu. Pray that they will know God’s guidance and strength as they continue to direct and support the work of the organisation. Pray also for Tirtha Thapa, on study leave in Thailand.
Nepal, Human Development and Community Services: Continue to pray for Tulsa and all the staff of the ABBS centres, as they provide daycare facilities in a loving, inclusive environment, to children with physical and mental disabilities. Pray for the children and their parents, that they will experience God’s love and grace.
Nepal, Human Development and Community Services: Pray for HDCS’s new scholarship scheme, which seeks to train and equip Nepalis to work on the various programmes of the organisation. Pray that the necessary funding will be secured and that those who are given scholarships will respond positively to this opportunity.
Egypt, Diocese of Egypt, with North Africa & the Horn of Africa: Please pray for plans to start a wide-spread Biblical literacy programme, including Bible study meetings throughout the church. Bishop Mouneer hopes to see a generation that is rooted in the teaching of the Apostles, in an age which only focuses on personal experiences and emotions. Pray for this vision.
Egypt, Diocese of Egypt, with North Africa & the Horn of Africa: 9. Pray for Bishop Andrew Proud and for all the challenges that he faces in the Horn of Africa. Pray for success as he seeks to secure a visa to visit the church in Asmara, Eritrea. Pray for Bishop Bill Musk and for the churches in Libya and Algeria to find the right priests.
Egypt, Diocese of Egypt, with North Africa & the Horn of Africa: Pray for the upcoming one-year training programme, “Preparing Leaders for the Future”, that is currently being designed by Fuzz Kito and Mark Takki, the Diocesan Youth Worker. The aim of the programme is to train youth workers and Sunday school teachers in every church in the diocese.
