Sudan: Give thanks for the positive outcome of the recent elections and pray that it reflects hopes for a peaceful future for Sudan. Pray for the continued success of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement and for the important Referendum scheduled for January 2011.
Sudan, Diocese of Lainya: Pray for Bishop Peter Amidi as he recovers from a recent heart operation. Pray also for strength and wisdom in dealing with the responsibility and demands of leading the diocese.
Sudan, Diocese of Lainya: Give thanks for the new St. Luke’s Primary Healthcare Centre that will provide health services to the surrounding community, and accommodation for staff. Pray for the staff as the centre prepares to open fully in June.
Sudan, Diocese of Ibba: Pray for plans within Ibba Diocese to establish a training centre called “Christ Church Development and Training Center”, which is designed to prepare church leaders in Ibba for ministry. Pray that God will bless these plans and will help to raise up strong, committed leaders.
Burundi, Alison Gill: Pray for Alison as she returns to the UK for two months: for safe travel, for blessed times with friends and family and for times of rest and reflection.
Burundi, Alison Gill: Give thanks for Alison’s work in the area of trauma healing and the opportunities that God has opened for her. Continue to pray for her studies in Kirundi and for her new language teacher.
Burundi, Alison Gill: Continue to pray for God’s protection over Alison and her house in Burundi. Please pray that she would be able to find a new dog to help guard her home when she returns to Burundi in August.
Burundi, Alistair Donaldson (STEP volunteer): Pray for Alistair as he travels to Burundi this month, for a Short Term Experience Placement (STEP) with CMS Ireland Global Partners. Pray for safety as he travels and that God would watch over him as he adjusts to new cultures, new climates, and new people.
Burundi, Alastair Donaldson: Give thanks for Alistair’s practical skills, which will be put to good use in Burundi. Pray that God opens up exciting opportunities for Alistair to serve Him during his time in Burundi.
Ethiopia, Gambella Region: Please pray that God would guide and grant wisdom to Bishop Andrew as he looks for a priest to serve as a Rural Dean in Gambella, Ethiopia. Pray that someone will feel moved to respond to God’s call.
