Today sees Burundi celebrating 50 years since independence. Give
thanks for the role of the church in Burundi. Pray that as the country
continues its development, the church would remain faithful to its
calling – to proclaim freedom for the oppressed, recovery of sight for
the blind, good news to the poor.
