Pray for the team from St John’s Parish, Moira as they visit the
Diocese of Ibba in August – the first team from a CMS Ireland Link
Parish to visit Ibba. Pray for their health and well-being and that they
would be a blessing and also be blessed during their visit.

Pray for Christ Church Development and Training Centre, which
offers training in English and basic principles of Management and
Church Leadership. Pray for its upgrading to offer short courses for
Church workers including Pastors, Mothers’ Union, Youth Leaders and
other Community Leaders.

BURUNDI, Alison Gill:
After three and a half years in Burundi, Alison will be back in the UK
for a 1-year study break to do a diploma in theology and intercultural
studies at All Nations Christian College. Pray that this would be a time
for refreshment, input, connecting with people, reflection, learning
and listening to the Lord.

Pray for Alison as she shares about her ministry in Burundi with
supporters in the UK – including CMS Ireland’s Mid-Africa Conference
in Newcastle in September. Pray that she would have freedom and
that God would use her to really encourage and empower people to
pray effectively for Burundi.

Three students from the diocese who are studying theology in
Uganda are home for the holidays and are serving with newly-planted
churches. They are Rev. Aime, Rev. Evariste and Medard. Pray for them
as they are involved with these new churches and are applying the
new skills that they have gained.

The church in Gitega is passionate about church planting in rural
areas of the diocese. Please pray for Nshimirimana Désiré, currently
undergoing training at Muramvya Bible School of Bujumbura Diocese,
so that he may be able to be involved in church leadership in Mumuri
in the near future.

IRELAND, CMS Ireland Resources:
Give thanks that over 70 churches took part in this year’s Annual
Project, ‘The Beautiful Gate’, which focused on the life and ministry
of SD Church in Nepal. Pray that the children who took part will be
challenged and inspired by what they learned.
