NEPAL
Please pray for peace and direction for Nepal following the National Elections that took place on 19th November. After so many years without effective leadership, the elections were marked by widespread pessimism and uncertainty. Pray that God would bring hope and a more certain future for the people of Nepal.

NEPAL: SD Church
There are now about fifteen fellowships meeting regularly in different parts of Nepal. This year, the focus is on equipping the local leaders of these churches. Please pray for the planning of these activities. Pray too for the youth that they will be enthused to take on leadership roles.

During December, there is likely to be an increase in the number of people coming to Saathi Sewa, particularly children. Please pray for all the logistics around receiving these children and for the staff as they work and serve very long hours to make this possible.

SHORT-TERM EXPERIENCE PLACEMENTS
Remember Mairead McGuckin in Kiwoko, Uganda, as she teaches Gideon Wilson in his new classroom, as well as providing basic computer training for nursing students in her free time. Pray that Mairead will be kept well in health, and will continue to be a blessing to the Wilson Family.

SHORT-TERM EXPERIENCE PLACEMENTS
In 2014, CMS Ireland is offering three overseas placements to first year students studying at the Church of Ireland Theological Institute in Dublin. Pray for those who have applied for this exciting opportunity, as they undergo interviews in the coming weeks.

Paul and Tania are coming to the end of a very busy three-month tour of Link Parishes, and support groups throughout Ireland. Pray that these visits will have encouraged and inspired many people to continue praying for the Bakers and supporting the work of Kiwoko Hospital.

Tania has been given the opportunity to have a purpose built classroom constructed for the Sewing Training School she hopes to set up in the New Year, for young women in the area around Kiwoko Hospital. Pray that the necessary funds will be provided for this exciting new venture.

As Paul and Tania prepare to return to Uganda, pray that God would guide and equip them. Pray that their final few weeks with friends and family will be full of blessings and that God’s peace and love would be evident amidst the farewells and the transition back to Kiwoko.

Pray today for CMS Ireland’s 200th Anniversary Programme, asking God to bless the various activities and events that are planned for the next 12 months. Pray that this special year will have an impact on many people. Pray especially for the plans for the Changing Times Conference and Celebration in May.

The majority of CMS Ireland’s annual income comes in during the period December to February. Pray that God would provide the necessary resources so that the Society can continue equipping the Church in mission and supporting our partners in their work.
