DR CONGO: North Kivu Diocese
Give thanks for 55 new members who have recently joined the Mothers’ Union and pray for them as they work to promote Christian family life.

DR CONGO: North Kivu Diocese
Bishop Isesomo recently confirmed 171 people in the foothills of the Rwenzori mountains. This is an area where the NALU rebels are very active. People in 21 parishes have had to flee fighting. Pray for safety for local people and give thanks for this Church growth despite all the difficulties.

Remember farmers and all whose livelihood rely on agriculture as the usual rainy season in Rwanda has been dryer than expected. Pray for a good yield of crops and for alternative sources of income to be provided.

Pray for God’s guidance for Kibungo Diocese as they plan and work to support the local community. Pray that God’s love will be known through the work of the church and ask that the staff team will be inspired and encouraged in their various activities.

Give thanks for the various self help groups within the diocese that are empowering women to start small businesses and support their families. Pray that the Church will be able to facilitate more of these in the future, having an impact in the overall wellbeing of the community.

Give thanks for the staff at Zion Hill Nursery School as they provide education and care to children in Shyogwe. Pray for opportunities to engage with the pupils’ families and involve them in church activities.

Pray today for Mission Resource Coordinator, Rachel Brittain, as she orders and manages new stock for Marketplace and pulls together material for the Anniversary Exhibition – Journey Through Time. Pray that God would guide and bless Rachel in all she does.

SOUTH SUDAN: Kajo-Keji Diocese
Give thanks for Bishop Anthony’s recent pastoral visit to the army barracks. This was much appreciated and the soldiers requested help to rebuild their church and send one soldier for lay training. Pray for Christian principles to guide all that they do.
