IRELAND: CMSI Events
February is a busy month for CMSI events, beginning with this evening’s launch of the new Children’s Resource in Belfast and continuing with pit-stops and brunch events in various locations. Please pray for these events, that they will be well attended and will be fruitful.

CMSI Members
Give thanks today for CMSI’s members and the support they lend in prayer, giving and presence at CMSI events. Pray that the recently launched membership scheme, CMSI Stars will bear fruit and pray that God would bless the CMSI family, throughout Ireland and further afield.

Give thanks for our trustees, who represent the CMSI members and bring a wealth of experience and skill to the society. Ask God to bless them with clarity of thought and vision. Pray for opportunities for them to visit our Global Partners and parishes around Ireland.

Mission Experience Teams Abroad (METAs)
Pray for the three METAs due to take place in the spring and summer – to DR Congo (Bukavu Diocese), South Sudan (Yei Diocese) and Zambia. Pray for the staff as they prepare the teams and ask God’s blessings on all the plans and training in the coming months.

Pray for plans to bring a META to Nepal in November and for the upcoming information evening. Ask God to call the right team members to apply and pray for wisdom as the programme is put together.

RWANDA
Rwanda is due to hold presidential elections in 2017. Currently there is a move to change the constitution to allow the sitting president to run for a third term. Pray for peace, security and a smooth process ahead.

RWANDA: Kibungo Diocese
A team from the diocese regularly visits Mahama Refugee Camp, to offer pastoral and practical support to Burundian refugees and staff working in the camp. Give thanks to God for the provision of food and clean drinking water. Pray that God will direct the team in how to carry out ministry during their visits.

The Mothers’ Union is starting income-generating activities to support its work – the hope is that this will help the organisation become self-sustaining. Pray for those involved, as they develop these initiatives and ask God to bless their plans.

The Maridi Mothers’ Union has been actively helping those facing trauma in recent months. Bethsaida Clinic has benefitted from a new shelter for waiting clients and for health education. Pray for these projects and for those who benefit from their services.

Pray for these projects and for those who benefit from their services. Pray too for Bishop Justin who has resumed his studies in Uganda after an unscheduled break at the end of last year, so he could lend much needed support to the people of Maridi.
