For the CMSI staff, the start of June is always a time for celebrating all those who have volunteered with the society over the past year. Please pray today for all our volunteers and give thanks for their service and their support.

Give thanks for all those members who have signed up as CMSI Stars this year and for the wider network of CMSI members and supporters. Pray that all who belong to the CMSI family would continue to play an active role in mission, through CMSI and in many other ways.

The CMSI Board of Trustees is due to meet next Friday. Among other things, they will be continuing to explore ways for CMSI to engage more effectively across the whole of Ireland. Pray that God would guide and bless the board in all their discussions.

BURUNDI: Alison and Paul Guinness
Alison and Paul continue their MA in Contemporary Mission Studies at All Nations Christian College. They are also expecting their first baby in mid-October. Pray that Alison will complete her dissertation by September and for a healthy pregnancy and safe delivery.

BURUNDI: Alison and Paul Guinness
Alison and Paul are visiting Kenya and Burundi in the coming weeks to attend African Enterprise’s ‘Go North Forum’ in Nairobi, for African Church leaders. They will then visit Burundi to meet with colleagues to talk about their return (hopefully in January). Pray that this short visit will be really fruitful.

Pray for the peace process in South Sudan, particularly in light of the recent return to the capital city of the rebel leader Riek Machar, who was inaugurated as Vice President at the end of April. After two years of war there is hope that this is a step towards real and lasting peace.

Thank God for the recent visit to Ireland of Harman Scholar Rev. Cosmas Gwagwe. He gained much and partners here were blessed by his visit. Remember him and his two colleagues from Yei who are now well into a new term at Africa Renewal University.
