IRELAND: CMSI Staff – Partnership Coordinators
Pray for Roger Thompson as he visits Carrigrohane Parish (Cork) this weekend. Roger will be joining with the team that visited Zambia in July, for feedback and evaluation, and will also preach at the Harvest service. Pray that this will be a time of blessing and encouragement.

Pray for Kelly Yates as she explores the possibility of a small Global Partner team visit to Ireland next summer. Give thanks for the strong partnerships with churches in Ireland, which has led to this potential visit. Pray that God would guide Kelly in this initiative and with her wider work.

ETHIOPIA
The first part of this year has seen ethnic tension and violence in Gambella. Some of this is related to ongoing problems in South Sudan, which has forced hundreds of thousands of refugees into Ethiopia. Pray for peace across the region and for the Church in Gambella.

ETHIOPIA: Gambella, Ethiopia (Diocese of Egypt)
Pray for the upcoming meeting in Addis Ababa between Evangelical Christians and Orthodox Christians. This gathering seeks to help these two Christian bodies understand each other and engage more effectively in mission together. Pray for Bishop Grant as he participates in this meeting.

Pray for the beginning of the second year of classes of St Frumentius’ Anglican Theological College in Gambella. Pray for those in leadership at the college who must find practical solutions to the safety challenges of meeting together as an inter-ethnic college.

The whole of Yei Diocese suffers through lack of daily necessities and fear of violence spilling over from Juba to Yei. Please pray for protection and strength for the vulnerable, and an end to the waging of war in South Sudan.

SOUTH SUDAN: Yei Diocese
Following the recent unrest, the disruption in Yei has been overwhelming. Bishop Allison Theological College and Yei Teacher Training College have been closed along with other diocesan institutions; some staff and students have sought safety in northern Uganda. Please pray for peace and for a safe return to Yei.

Thank God For Joseph Saba and Godfry Noël who have just completed their theological training course in Uganda with support through CMSI. Pray for the remaining two students – Rev Eli and Pennina – under the same scheme, that they will also successfully complete their studies next year.

Thank God for the first installment of funds, which have gone to Haddow Secondary School to build a girls’ wash block. Pray that the heightened security levels will not hamper the process.
