Give thanks for work of Kiwoko Hospital in healthcare, leadership training and community engagement. Pray for Dr James, as he performs the role of Acting Medical Director while Rory Wilson is on Home Assignment. Pray that James will receive wisdom, health and stamina as he manages the daily decisions and challenges confronting him.

Pray for ordinands James Senyonyi and Charles Bakyetawo as they begin a two-year course in theological training at Namugongo Martyrs Seminary. Give thanks for their parishes in Nakosongola Archdeaconry. Pray that God would strengthen these churches as they grow together and engage in programmes with the local community.

Pray for Keith and Lyn as they prepare to return to Zambia in the autumn and pray for their children – Adam in Liverpool and Hannah in London – as they prepare to say “farewell” to their parents. Pray for Lyn, hoping undertake a TEFL course in the coming months.

Pray for CMSI’s staff as they seek to encourage financial support from parishes and Individuals to ensure the Scotts are fully funded. Pray for logistics that need to be put in place; specifically that suitable accommodation can be found for Keith and Lyn close to St John’s Seminary, in Kitwe.

Give thanks for the medical work carried out by the Nyankanda Health Centre, founded by the Church. Please pray for the new clinic opening this year in Gitega town, which will provide healthcare for many people living on a low income.

Pray that God would continue to bless the diocese’s vision to plant churches in new areas, where the Anglican Church was previously absent. Work is growing very rapidly and new congregations are increasing. Please pray for church leaders as they nurture existing churches and help establish new congregations.

Alison and Paul are working on their MA dissertations at All Nations’ College in England, with both of them exploring issues of interest and application to their work in Burundi. Pray for God’s help in this work and for the right people to interview.

As part of their dissertation research, Paul and Alison hope to go to Kenya and Burundi in mid-June to interview Africans involved in mission movements and in reaching out to those of other faiths through inductive Bible studies. Pray for fruitful interviews and for really good times with their colleagues in Burundi.
