IRELAND: CMSI Events
Pray for the Momentum event, taking place tomorrow evening for those who have taken part in CMSI teams and short-term placements this year. Pray that this will be a special evening of reflection and sharing and that it will help participants to make the most of their experiences of global mission.

In January, CMSI staff will be taking to the road again for the Impact roadshow series. Pray for the planning of the programme and pray that the ten events will draw together many of the society’s friends and supporters across Ireland.

ZAMBIA
Pray today for peace and stability in Zambia, particularly in light of recent political upheaval in Zimbabwe (to the south) and the worsening security situation in DR Congo (to the north). Pray for the Church in Zambia and ask that it would be a source of peace, love and hope.

ZAMBIA: Keith and Lyn Scott
Keith and Lyn have been serving in St. John’s Anglican Seminary, Kitwe for almost a year. Give thanks for the blessings, times of frustration, challenges and joys. Pray for Adam and Hannah in England, and remember the Scotts amidst the pain of separation from family and friends, especially at this time of year.

Geoffrey Banda, a second year student at the seminary, is currently on a placement in Co. Cork with parishes in and around Blarney. Give thanks for this wonderful and exciting opportunity through the Harman Scholarship. Pray that Geoffrey will cope with the Irish weather, culture and varying expressions of Church.

Pray for Keith, Lyn and their colleagues as they spend December and January preparing materials and courses for a new term beginning in February. This year will be challenging as they have two programmes running simultaneously. Pray for much needed rest and refreshment over Christmas.

RWANDA: Shyogwe Diocese
Give thanks for the recent visit of Viateur, Pastor Joseph, Emilienne and Rose to Ireland. This was a fruitful visit and they each enjoyed making new friends in their link parishes, learning more about church ministry in Ireland and visiting the seaside.

Praise God for the successful implementation of Child and Psycho-Social Support Projects in Bidi Bidi Refugee Camp. Pray for the diocese’s Refugee Desk Officer as he plans to extend the same intervention to the other camps.

As we come to the end of the year, please pray that the Sudanese Refugee students at West Nile Ecumenical Vocational Training Centre would finish their training in vocational skills well and be able to use these skills to improve their welfare in the camps.
