CMS Ireland’s Annual Project gives children and young people the opportunity to engage with what God is doing in another part of the world.
With DVD material, lesson plans and activities, the project pack provides a wide range of resources for church groups and schools who want to play their part in God’s global story.
The 2008 Annual Project, Footsteps, is based in Kajiado diocese, Kenya and gives us the opportunity to walk alongside two children in Torosei as they show us what a typical day looks like for them.
Sanau and Shankua teach us some Swahili, we visit their school and see what life is like back home in their boma. (You can see a short extract from the DVD above).
As we follow in their footsteps we learn why education is so important in Kajiado – and why the Church has made it such a priority.
The Footsteps project will support the Diocese of Kajiado as it works to build and restore local primary schools.
We’re looking to help the diocese build classrooms, provide desks, and buy textbooks and equipment.
To find out more about the project please contact our youth worker, Julie Currie.
Where will your footsteps take you?
