| Sometimes referred to as ‘the heart of Africa', due to it’s distinctive shape and central location, Burundi is one of the world's poorest countries - now emerging from more than 40 years of ethnic conflict. CMS Ireland supports the local church: as it trains and disciples leaders who will make a difference in their communities; and in its efforts to rehabilitate schools destroyed during the civil war. |
