Scut_aftercare_project_in_brasov 2. Brashov
Many of us remember the heart-breaking images of Romania’s orphanages after the fall of the Ceausescu regime in 1989. A sad legacy from those days is the number of young street people who find their way onto Romania’s city streets. CMS Ireland is partnered with the SCUT project in Brasov which helps to develop independent life skills among 15 to 18-year-olds before they leave the orphanages.

  19. Sundar Dhoka Church
Sundar Dhoka (Beautiful Gate) Church is a fellowship in Kathmandu which embodies Christ's call to serve him as we find him in 'the least of these'. Led by a paraplegic, Pastor Babukaji Adhikari, along with his wife, Goma and their son, Bikash, it is very much a church for the marginalised. Up to 150 people attend the Saturday services and fellowship groups, many of whom would be considered the outcasts of society – wheelchair users, leprosy sufferers, women who have been abandoned by their husbands, the blind, the poor.
