Crossing Bridges Colourful Competition

The CMSI offices were awash with colour as the Crossing Bridges competition entries arrived from over 100 children and young people from parishes across Ireland.

The Crossing Bridges Children’s Resource highlighted the work of our partners in the Diocese of Egypt and explored the story of Joseph. We’ve had lots of positive feedback about the resource materials and we hope your children and young people have learnt something about our big themes of friendship, peace and reconciliation.

We will keep you updated about our fundraising and when we hope to start funding the “Tree of Hope” programme and supplying the resources for the Deaf Unit in Cairo.

A special thank you to all the Sunday school teachers who make the Children’s Resource jump off the page and bring it to life on a Sunday morning. We loved seeing all the competition entries and well done to the prize winners!

Winning entries:

Cobra Winner – Madison Wray (Donegal Parish)

Crocodile Winner – Victoria Martin (Christ Church, Bessbrook)

Camels Winner – Ellie Dowie (Innisrush Parish)

Cranes winner – Chloe Bond (Kildollagh Parish)

Each category was awarded with two runner-up entries as the standard was so good!

Plans are already underway for the 2019 Children’s Resource launching in January 2019! We’ll keep you posted!
